The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been honoured by Presidency, through the National Agricultural Land Development Agency (NALDA) as the “Agriculture Friendly Governor of the Year” Award at a colourful event held at the Eagle Square in Abuja on December 8, 2022.
The award ceremony had in attendance dignitaries led by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha. Other dignitaries present were the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Mahmood Abubakar; Honourable Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu; Excellencies and Ambassadors of Canada, Hungary, Spain and a host of other distinguished members of the diplomatic community, farmers’ groups, and other stakeholders in the Agricultural and allied sectors.
The Governor of Ogun State has in the last two years, been honoured with national awards as the Best in Agricultural development and intervention for the benefit of his people and has continued to make history with consistent National Agricultural recognitions for three consecutive years.
Abiodun was represented at the ceremony by the State Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina.
