ABIODUN CHARGES CDAS CDCS TO STAY FOCUSED AS HE DOLES OUT MILLIONS IN GRANTS, AWARDS

Prince Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State today Wednesday approved a maximum of five million Naira (N5,000,000.00) in individual grants-in-aid for worthy community development projects as well as a revolving five hundred million Naira (N500,000,000.00) loan facility in the MSMEs Financial Support Scheme scheduled to be launched before the end of the year.

The Governor who announced the increment at this year twin celebration of the Year 2022 World Community Development Day and the World Trade Day poured encomium on the group that turned out for the even, promising that his administration would continue to do the needful its avowal to bring about even development to the nooks and crannies of the state.

Abiodun who also spoke glowingly about the Commissioner of Community Development, Honourable Abayomi Hunye said he has shown he is really well connected with the grassroot, adding that he had brilliantly driven the vision and aspirations of the government to the grassroot. “I’m pleased with the Commissioner of Community Development as he has keyed so assiduously into the vision of our administration which is mainly to bring development to our people. I’m really proud of him.”

The Governor charged the people to remain focused, promising that his administration would continue to promote their well being and development of their various communities. “Let us all stay focused. You should not allow some failed elements to deceive you. I want to assure you that we will not promise to do everything, but we do all that is necessary to make our dear state a more prosperous one”, he stressed

Abiodun stated that Community Development Associations, CDAs as well as artisans and traders are the actual agents that make government’s efforts truly felt by the people, promises that his administration would continue to support the CDAs so that they would be able to achieve their nominated national economic developmental objectives.

In a chat with with the press, Commissioner for Community Development Hon. Abayomi Hunye who expressed satisfaction with the huge turnout of the various community enjoined Communities who benefited from the increment to use the various grants and awards judiciously as to encourage the government to do more while urging communities who have not won huge awards in this edition not to despair because according to him, the Dapo Abiodun administration means well for all the people of the state.

Hunye expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun for the awards and grants because he believed they would go a long way in promoting the various community development Areas, and by one hand promote healthy rivalries amongst the CDAs and CDCs, and on the other hand stimulate the desires of others to work harder.

He described Governor Abiodun as a visionary leader unwavering committed to the development of the state. “I’m happy for his all inclusive style of administration which has ensured no part of the state is left a unattended to. Whenever he considers a project viable he would stop at nothing to see it come to fruition. We are lucky to have Prince Abiodun at the helms of affairs in the state”, he added.
