Articulate, Dependable and compassionate are three objectives that succinctly speak the quality of Hon. Olasunkanmi Amida, the candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for House of Assembly, Odogbolu State Constituency, Ogun State.
This cerebral and prodigious son of Ogun believes in quality, robust and developmentally oriented representation, which according to him informed his clamour to represent the people of his constituency at the assembly.
Honourable Olasunkanmi Amida who could simply be described as a Financial Expert, Academics and Consummate politician had his primary and secondary education in his hometown, Imosan–Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State before proceeding to The Federal polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, where he obtained Higher National Diploma ( HND) in Marketing. He also bagged B.Sc. in Business Administration from University of Lagos, he proceeded further to National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)and obtained MBA in Business Administration. Again, he moved to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago- iwoye and bagged Msc in Business Administration. Olasunkanmi Amida is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration with emphasis in International Business at the same Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye.
This great son of Imosan–Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State is not a rookie on the political turf of Odogbolu Local Government and Ogun state at large having started as a pioneer member of All Progressives Congress (APC) and served the party in various capacities
Honourable Olasunkanmi Amida is a passionate and committed lover of community services and advocate of grass root engagement; tested and trusted grassroots politician.
Amida, styled as a man with a midas touch was a pioneer member of defunct Alliance for Democracy ( AD) in Odogbolu Local Government during which he displayed an unrivalled prowess in mobilisation and coordination, the highlight of which was his role as the chief Coordinator for Hon. Tola Salisu during the build up to the 2003 Chairmanship election in Odogbolu local Government.
His loyalty and commitment to the Progressive course has never been in doubt as he has always kept fate with the Progressives
fold with unflinching and unwavering loyalty.
Amida, seasoned with banking, with about two decades of experience in the financial sector in Nigeria says the time to serve his people at the Ogun State House of Assembly is NOW. For efficient and effective representation in Odogbolu Local Government, he says, “HERE I AM, SEND ME”.
