The Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in Ogun State has been working assiduously to complete the state’s cargo Airport as scheduled.
“work is ongoing towards the timely completion of the Cargo Airport we are constructing in Ogun State”, the Governor was quoted as saying.
The Governor believed completion of the Cargo Airport translated into a boost in the state’s economy as it would improve export of goods locally produced by agro-processing industries and intending investors within the State.
Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo is a man of destiny on the grounds of his reluctance to ascend the throne of Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, nevertheless his impeccable character and sterling quality as a man who keeps to his words and maintains his integrity in all his dealings located him and fate entrusted this exalted position on him. Drenched by the appeal of the people and the exigent need for his land to have a king, Oba Jaiyeoba succumbed and submitted himself. In his word, “if my ascension to the throne will uplift my dear town, Ijebu Igbo, so be it.” Now, we have a man who is genuinely committed towards the growth of his town, Ijebu Igbo.
Oba Adebajo was born on November 11,1953 in Fowoseje, a remote village in Ijebu Igbo, from the male Royal lineage of Ojuromi from Oke Tako in Ijebu Igbo. Sired by parents, Oba Tanimowo Adebajo and Mama Safuratu Adebajo (Nee Aderibigbe/J. B. King) from Atikori. Young Prince Jayeoba with, a burning desire to get educated, started his elementary education at St. Bridget Catholic Primary School, Fowoseje and, at age twelve, completed his primary education with merits. He enrolled at St Vincent Catholic Secondary Modern School, Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo in 1966 and completed his Modern School education in 1968. Unfortunately, thereafter, his father could no longer afford to pay his school fees to Secondary School.
Painful as it was, young Jaiyeoba chose to make lemonade from the lemon life’s circumstances threw at him. He was determined not only to develop himself but also ensure he turned out to be a success in his life’s endeavours. He embarked on a lot of personal training and development exercises. He became dedicated towards achieving his goals and such dedication and relentlessness eventually paid off. Through his late father’s wise counsel, he started his career in Transportation business by joining a Transport Company located in Ibadan. As the saying goes, a star that is determined to shine cannot be hidden, not even by darkness.
The budding youngster, Jaiyeoba performed so well, breaking records in his assigned duty that a Luxury Bus Transport Company from Lagos, ICOC engaged and took him to Lagos in February 15, 1975. He resumed duty as a Transport Officer and soon learnt a lesson of life through his then Managing Director, Mr. InfeayinChucku Osondu who later became the Igwe of Umulolo, Okigwe, Imo State. His Managing Director, at the End of Year party of the company in 1975 told his story of grass to grace – from being a motor boy to Danfo Driver, to Transport officer and vehicle owner who eventually owned fleet of vehicles. This story seemed served like a tinder for the burning ambition of young Jaiyeoba, and it prepared him for the challenges ahead and equipped him with all that was needed to succeed in life. He ventured into Transportation business, with this insight from his boss, he started saving from monthly salary.
On December 24, 1977, Oba Jaiyeoba bought his first new car which unfortunately got burnt after second day of purchase. Armed with the lesson from his boss, he did not allow harrowing experience to riven him off balance. He quickly remembered the admonitions of his Boss and realized that even the accomplished suffers setbacks sometimes. The more bitter the lessons, the greater the successes will be. With zeal and determination for success Oba Jayeoba forged ahead. In 1979, while still working for ICOC, he had started making efforts through personal contacts towards buying his first luxury bus on hire purchase from a company owned then by Alhaji Saidu Gomina at Osogbo. He eventually achieved this goal and bought a bus through a monthly payment that was spread for a period of 30 months.
As a man of conscience who would not want a clash of interest between him and his boss, he resigned as a Workshop Manager and started his own transport business which was later registered as L.A TANMO & Sons on August 1,1984; a business name he coined from his father’s name “Tanimowo”. It is on record that he completed payment for the bus in a record time of 10 months. He was thereafter introduced to a company in Lagos and he got another luxury bus which he also completed its payment in 8 months. The management of the company was so impressed by his performance that he was offered another bus of which he also completed its payment in 7 months. This was how his business grew and he became a proud owner of a fleet of buses.
As an assiduous worker and visionary investor, his company explored other frontiers and succeeded in securing a deal with Lagos State Waste Water Management Office (LSWMO) as an accredited Transport Company for the organization: with years of unblemished service to LSWMO, he was offered a Facility Management contract, and due to the company’s prudent and transparent management process, he was given a commendation letter by the Agency last year, 2021, having performed meritoriously for over 12 years. His facility management contract with LSWMO is still valid till date. No doubt, Oba Jayeoba is a successful and accomplished entrepreneur who, before the age of 40, built his houses in Aledo Oke Agbo Ijebu Igbo and in Okota Lagos.
Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adedeji Tanimowo Adebajo is a humble, noble, God-fearing and compassionate personality who is ready to help people rise above challenges. He has been able to assist many people through educational, business and financial support in various ways. He has helped many setup businesses and even stood as guarantor for those who needed huge financial assistance. To the glory of God, some of those he assisted have become success stories today. His joy is seeing people celebrating successes around him.
A silent achiever, Oba Lawrence Jayeoba Adedeji Tanimowo Adebajo has to his credit a lot of anonymous donations. To him, he would want God to take Glory for enabling him to touch lives in various ways. His philanthropic activities earned him the title of Balogun Ijo of St. Peters Catholic Church, Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo where he serially donated toward the construction of the church and the purchase of Choir Robes. He was responsible for the installation of Windows to a 2 Story Building in Holy Angel Catholic Church, Oke Agbo.
He also donated generously towards the construction of Catholic Church in Ukpenu, near Ekpoma, Edo State without forgetting his community, Ijebu Igbo. Apart from his various community support gestures, he also donated a complete set of Musical Equipment to Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ijebu North. He has also given Several community support at Oke Tako, Oke Sopen and Aledo, Oke Agbo where he has his house and even in Lagos where he resides.
Oba Jayeoba is not one that discriminates against religious leanings. This is evident in his contributions towards the renovation of several mosques in his neighbourhood. He recently received an award from a mosque in Okota, Lagos, his area of residence for assisting in renovating the mosque. In his local community, Oba Jaiyeoba was at various times the Secretary, Treasurer and the Chairman of his Community Development Association in Okota, Lagos. He was Chairman for several years before he voluntarily pulled out to allow others to contribute their quota towards the growth of the community.
Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adedeji Tanimowo Adebajo is married to Mrs. Bolanle Mary Adebajo, an Entrepreneur from Osan Ekiti, Moba Local Government of Ekiti State and they are blessed with children and grandchildren.

Klitschko who has refused to fled Ukraine by his own private jet and lived a happy life some where else in the world with his enormous wealth, but instead he decided to risk his own life and fight for his country against a superpower.

Oba Adeyemi said he had experienced the palatable and the sour parts of life, he had encountered reasons to beam with amorous smiles and had passed through tribulations capable of tempting a man to question God, but in all, he learnt to keep his head up by the benevolence of God, hence he bore no grudges against anybody.

Prince Abiodun presenting Staff of Office to the new Orimolusi, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo
By Olufemilade Oyinade
Prince Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State while presenting Staff Office to the newly crowned Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, on Wednesday charged him to be accessible, receptive and responsive to the yearnings of the Ijebu Igbo people.
The governor equally urged the monarch to continue to champion all efforts that will enhance peaceful co-existence with other royal fathers within Ijebu Igbo and its environs in order to justify the mandate and trust repose in him by the Ogun State Government.
Abiodun, who stated these in his speech at the coronation ceremony of Oba Adebajo, noted that the ancient town which witnessed 28-year interregnum, would begin to witness upward swing with the installation of the new Orimolusi.
While describing the event as “symbolic testament reflective of the time past and a new beginning in community spirit and selflessness”, the governor expressed optimism that the monarch, with his pedigree, would espouse development of the town.
He congratulated all the sons and daughters of Ijebu-Igbo who had painstaking waited for almost three decades for the new monarch, and the entire people of Ijebuland on the coronation which according to him, has opened a new phase in the traditional lives of Ijebu Igbo people.
Abiodun also commended Prof. Ademola Adedeji-led 11-member kingmakers/warrant chiefs, for carrying out a process that was open, transparent and credible, expressing assurance that the monarch would be guided by the laudable and enviable legacy of honour of all his predecessors.
While noting that “this is the third interregnum the stool of Orimolusi had witnessed; the first one was between 1887-1889, the second happened from 1905-1928 while this one lasted from 1994-2021”, the governor added that “all of us must have learnt one or two things in the intervening period and realize that together we can achieve more.
“For instance, we have learnt that the delay in the appointment and installation of the new Orimolusi was as a result of the differences among the various contestants which led to litigations that started from the High Court and stretched up to the Supreme Court, which delivered judgment in the appeal on 7th May, 2021. I thank God that at the end of the day, the voice of the people is the voice of the Judiciary and God. I also wish to state unequivocally that there is no victor, no vanquished in the entire episodes leading up to this installation. We are all winners. We must do everything possible to put the town’s interest first”, he stated further.
He lauded other contestants to the stool of the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo and their supporters for proving to be men and women of honour, and accepting the selection of Oba Adebajo as the new Orimolusi, enjoining every indigene and residents of Ijebu-Igbo to embrace peace and co-operate with the new monarch.
“I know that the new Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo possesses the requisite skillsets, experience and exposure required to steer the ship of Ijebu-Igbo. Let us, therefore, see today’s ceremony as an opportunity to come together and move Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebuland, and, by extension, the entire state, towards attaining more socio-economic development.
“Kabiyesi, as a father, you are expected to be accessible, receptive and responsive to the yearnings of your subjects at all times. You are to note Kabiyesi that you should continue to champion all efforts that will enhance peaceful co-existence with other Royal fathers within Ijebu Igbo and its environs in order to justify the mandate and trust repose in you by Ogun State Government. Kabiyesi, by your appointment, you have become a member of the Ijebu Traditional Council and Permanent Member representing Ijebu Traditional Council at the Ogun State Council of Obas. Kabiyesi, I urge you to regard this appointment as a call to greater duty and responsibility. I implore you to extend magnanimity in victory to all and sundry in Ijebu-Igbo and reconcile all contending parties.
“On our part, we have continued and will continue to prioritize the welfare and wellbeing of traditional rulers because they play a pivotal role in the sustaining the rich cultural heritage of our people as they are custodians of our value systems, norms and mores. We consider them indispensable partners in the Building Our Future Together Agenda of our Administration and integral part of our Security Architecture”. Abiodun stated.
The governor, however, expressed worries by the slide in the moral ethos and the palpable mindlessness that accompany the get-rich-syndrome in the society, particularly among the youth, declaring measures would put in place to nip the menace in the bud
“I am always traumatised beyond words when I hear of our youth’s involvement in the spate of killings and dismembering of human beings for ritual purposes. I am particularly scandalized these young ones – teenagers – are being fingered as perpetrators of these dastardly acts. Let me use this opportunity to solicit the support of our Traditional Rulers, Parents, Teachers, Heads of Various Institutions of Learning, Community leaders, Religious leaders and indeed all of us, to always preach and act as a good moral compass and mentors to our children and youths. Money should not be the sole determinant of success. Integrity should count more. But, let me also warn that we shall deal decisively with anyone involved in any heinous crime in accordance with the relevant laws. There is no compromise on this. Ogun State is known over the years for being at the vanguard of ‘Omoluabi’ ethos. I wonder when this malady l became the norm!
“Let me reiterate that our administration has continued and will continue to espouse programmes and policies that engage the youths positively. We are doing everything possible to ensure that Ogun remains a trailblazer in youth development, human capital empowerment, economic growth and prosperity. We are committed to providing necessary technical, logistic and institutional support to security agencies and for our youths to actualize themselves through provision of jobs, creating a conducive environment for them to learn trades and become net employers of labour, as well as other avenues and opportunities to be gainfully and prosperously engaged without resorting to crimes.
“Let our elders, parents and guardians do their own to inculcate the right attitude into their wards to help the moral fibre of our society. We all owe it a duty to stop this scourge by whatever legal means possible. I can assure you that we will fight this menace with everything at our disposal. We will not be identified by this notoriety. Our culture frowns at this and we must bring propriety back into the psyche of the children who we will leave the future behind for. For us, we have emplaced security measures in schools and all the villages, hamlets and towns to ensure zero-tolerance for ritualists. We will trail them, apprehend them, investigate them and make them serve as examples for those harbouring such sinister routes to wealth acquisition”, Abiodun submitted.

After 61 years of Nigeria’s independence, the nation is still grappling with insecurity, corruption, banditry, regional agitation, economic instability among others.
As the 2023 election for a new leader gets closer, it becomes imperative for us to pray for a leader with a passion for equitable distribution of our natural resources who will also address the myriad of challenges facing us as a nation
Nigerian’s problem has not been lack of resources but ideal leadership who could ensure equitable distribution of the resources of the land, hence Nigerians should fast and pray for God to give us the right leader in 2023, declared Pastor Abraham Adeseye Senfuye, the Setman of Treasure House of God, Quarry Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He believed the Nigerian Nation remained a blessed one and that Nigerians should constantly learn to take the country’s situation to God in prayers, if truly they desired to see Nigeria in greatness, peace love, kindness “Nigerians should ensure we produce in 2023 a President who will allow God to lead the way in the governance of the country”.
He disclosed that the vision of a special prayer and fasting for the country was revealed to him in one of his quiet moments in the presence of God while meditating and reading from the scriptures in the book of Acts of the Apostles 6: 1 of the Holy Bible where there were accusations and contestation of marginalisation and it was agreed that they needed to appoint 7 men with 3 qualifications namely: Men of honest report, full of Holy Ghost and Wisdom, saying as soon as this was done, all contestations, agitations, murmurings stopped and peace and tranquility returned to the land.
Pastor Senfuye said it showed the problem was not lack of resources or religion but inequitable distributions of resources, lack of men who could hold positions of authority and do things right, expressing the conviction that if men of honest report, full of Holy Ghost and Wisdom are elected into leadership positions in Nigeria, come 2023, the country would also attain peace, and that all issues pertaining to incessant kidnapping, agitation such as Odua Nation, Arewa Republic, Niger Delta Republic and Biafra Republic would also cease and the country would march to greatness.
The Setman of Treasure House Of God said, aside for the immediacy needed for the prayer and fasting, that special day, Tuesday February 22, 2022 ( 2/22/22) has been divinely chosen for double portions of blessings, adding that the prayer and fasting was not about religion but for all Nigerians who desire to see Nigeria in greatness, and that it could be done wherever one could be on that day, because according to him, all that was revealed to him was that the chosen day is a day for double portions of blessings.
Pastor Abraham Senfuye stated that the prayer and fasting would not require any special place or centre, incense, water or oil but total devotion and submission to God through our prayer and fasting just for that day. “All that was revealed to me was that Nigerians should fast and pray on that special day, wherever they could be, no special centre or place, no need for water, oil, incense. All God Has commanded us to do was absolute devotion and consecration, irrespective of your religion, whether you are a Christian or a Muslim. You are also free to assembly in your local Churches or Mosques or even places of work to observe this special prayer and fasting. For us at Treasure House of God, we will observe the day at the church”, he stressed.
As days and months are counting, so also the race for various elective positions in the 2023 elections are getting stronger. As Individuals are consulting so also political parties are evolving strategies to outplay one another.
In Ogun State, Professor David Olufemi Bamgbose of People’s Democratic Party has formerly declared his intention to run for for the governorship of the state, confidently believing if given the mandate by his party and members, he would defeat Prince Dapo Abiodun come 2023.
Making his declaration today at the hall of Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Professor Bamgbose said records have shown that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were not living up to the expectation of the people of the state as a result of which the people were eager to end their administration and vote in a more credible one, and leader who would attend to their yearnings and aspiration.
Bamgbose stated unequivocally that, if not for the intraparty wrangling that existed in their party, People’s Democratic Party during the last election, the people would have given their votes to PDP, because according to him, they are tested and trusted. They have distinctively known how resourceful the Governor under the umbrella of PDP, Otunba Gbenga Daniel performed. He ran a people oriented administration which provided the people dividends of democracy.
“The state of things is our state is worrisome and disturbing. Our beloved state was known for excellence in Education leading other states in the Nigeria nation with regular and specialised tertiary institutions. Our state in the past recorded many first in Education, but today, what we have in our schools are cultism and hooliganism and violence, a situation that we have never seen in the state. We must arrest this ugly trends in our state.
Security and state of peace of our state is at its lowest ebb. Our dear state has always been peaceful and serene, conducive for learning, investment, hospitality and accommodating. The current administration have not pro actively guarded the security of the state. They have left security issues rather late before reacting. The incessant massacre of our people in Yewaland is really devastating. It must be said that insecurity has been a high level of national problem under the APC.
It is indeed disappointing that, with the resources available to the state Governor as the Chief Security Officer of the state, the level of kidnapping, violence, ritual killing, murders, Herdsmen/farmers clashes is unprecedented in the history of our state. This must be tacked with utmost sense of responsibility.
The government has done some lofty projects but they have left the fundamental responsibility as enshrined in our constitution such I e the primary reason of government is the security and welfare of the citizen, these are the reasons why I, Professor David Olufemi Bamgbose is rising up to the occasion in this crucial period of our dear state”.
He said his aspiration represented a new way of doing things because he has been living and daily working in the state unlike many of the past and present leaders in the state who, though indigenes but never lived or had their investment in the state who only returned home for politics. “The effect of this is that such Governor will have larger percentage of his appointees from people who are not residing in the state. This is the reason for the disconnect from the government and the governed”, Bamgbose stressed.
Bamgbose promised to represent the major shift, saying that he has been doing his businesses in the state for over decades. “We founded a higher institution in that that have been trained over Twenty Thousand (20,000) of our citizens in the state. We have done this at affordable cost and scholarship to the people”.
He added that, while building projects, when elected as the Governor of the state he would give attention to human development and welfare, because his administration would represent transition of power
