Fuji Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (FUMAN), Ogun State Chapter has felicitated with K1 De Ultimate, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall on the occasion of his 65 birthday celebration.
According to Prince Omolaja Ganiu, the Governor of the association in the state, K1 De Ultimate has remained a worthy leader and frontrunner in the association who has, by his strides and far reaching connections placed Fuji music genre on a platform that commandeered respectability which has made the general public accord Fuji Musicians a degree of honour.
Ganiu disclosed that they were celebrating him as a worthy leader and the symbol by which Fuji Musicians were being measured and evaluated, adding that, to a large extent, he created the path many of them were threading today.
The Governor who sings exactly like K1 said, “If we all pride in the association today, we owe it to King Wasiu Ayinde, because he and a few other established Fuji Musicians worked unremittingly to earn the respect and popularity we today enjoy in the association. Additionally, his personal achievements and recognition have also rubbed on the image of the group. We are indeed proud of him. This explains why the Executive and entire members of our association are felicitating him on the occasion of his birthday”
“We are also using this opportunity to greet his wife, Yeye Maiyegun, Asake Okin for standing by him and taking good care of him. You know, according to Oluaye’s song, a wife who takes good care of her husband; serves him food timely will benefit enormously from such husband. We wish Asake Okin all the best”.
“We pray that Almighty God would grant K1 the grace of marking many more years in good health with many more achievements. “At 65, he is still very young. We wish to have him leading the way for us for many more years. We want to see the King of Fuji Music and Maiyegun of Yorubaland which is the cradle of Fuji Music mark 70, 80, 90, 100 and above.
