His Royal Highness, Oba Kolawole Adesina Adeyemi, Efutide Solomade 1, Negbuwa Ibido, Sagamu in the Remo division of Ogun State has declared that his goal was to bring about development of the town and not to get enmeshed in any unproductive or retrogressive frivolities.
The Traditional Ruler who disclosed this during an exclusive interview with our reporter at his palace on Thursday promised that he would be working with all well meaning sons and daughters of the land, both at home and in Diaspora to promote the development and wellbeing of Ibido, because according to him the land had long been deprived of development and now that he had ascended the throne he would work assiduously to make up for the losses.
He therefore used the opportunity to call on the people of the land to join hands with him in his quest to achieve his avowed pledges and plans for the land as he stated categorically that to realise the lofty goals demanded a concerted efforts by all and sundry.
“Ibido is ours to develop, the way I have the right to make contribution so also every other person, and it is only when we have joint push for development that we can bring to fruition our dreams of seeing Ibido developed. I want you all to know a house decided against itself cannot stand against outside aggression. I don’t have any enemy. I only have brothers and sisters who disagreed with me in the course of my ascension of the Negbuwa Ibido throne and now that the issue is resolved my main focus is the development of the land.
Oba Adeyemi said he had experienced the palatable and the sour parts of life, he had encountered reasons to beam with amorous smiles and had passed through tribulations capable of tempting a man to question God, but in all, he learnt to keep his head up by the benevolence of God, hence he bore no grudges against anybody.
He said, “I used this opportunity to thank those who stood by me during the tempest waves of life, either by words of encouragement or support of all sorts. Above all, I give all the praises and adoration to God Almighty who I owe immeasurably”.
