The Ogun Primary Health Care Development Board in collaboration with Development Partners will commence the administration of Second Round of Year 2021 Oral Polio Vaccine, known as Outbreak Response (OBR2), on Saturday, 16 to Tuesday, 19 October.
A release by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Elijah Ogunsola, stated that the exercise which is targeted at children of ages 0-59 months, would be carried out at no cost, in the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.
It indicated that the exercise would involve the use of house-to-house vaccinating teams, government health facilities, market places and transit teams to religious houses, adding that other routine antigens to prevent child killer diseases would also be given at all government health facilities.
Mothers and caregivers are enjoined to make their wards available, and inform others to avail themselves the opportunity of the exercise to get them immunised.
